National Malaria Strategic Plan (NMSP) of Senegal: 2026 – 2030
Countries: Senegal
Published: 02/03/2026
The Senegal Plan Stratégique National pour l’Elimination du Paludisme (PSNEP) 2026–2030 aligns with the WHO Global Technical Strategy 2016–2030, which encourages endemic countries to move towards elimination by 2030. This PSNEP is also aligned with the strategic directions and priorities of the “Senegal 2050” Vision and the National Development Strategy (SND) 2025–2029. It reflects a new policy direction centered on national sovereignty, justice, and prosperity. The plan makes a significant contribution to enhancing human capital amidst a landscape of multiplying health challenges, scarce resources, rapid population growth, and the population’s rising socio-economic aspirations.
Vision: The vision of the National Malaria Control Program (PNLP) is: “A malaria-free, sovereign, and equitable Senegal, with a resilient and innovative health system driving sustainable development”
Mission: To Ensure universal and equitable access to the most effective malaria promotion, prevention, and treatment interventions at an affordable cost for the entire Senegalese population.
