National Malaria Strategic Plan (NMSP) of Somalia: 2021 – 2025

This Somalia National Malaria Control and Elimination Strategic Plan (NMCESP) 2021 – 2025 is premised on lessons learnt from previous strategic plans, the need for an ambitious approach to attain pre-elimination and better strategic focussing of national response.

Purpose of the NMCESP:  

1. Articulate a strategic framework for the implementation of the country’s malaria response including proving the priorities and expected results.
2. Provide guidance for the acceleration towards sub-national elimination agenda.
3. Enhance the coordination and the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) arrangements.
4. Provide a resource mobilisation tool for the national malaria control and elimination agenda.
