The Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene (MSHP), with the support of its partners, developed this Plan Stratégique National de Lutte contre le Paludisme (PSNLP) 2021–2025 in response to the evolving priorities and new strategic directions of the fight against malaria.
Vision: The 2021–2025 NSP aims for a prosperous, malaria-free Côte d’Ivoire through universal and equitable access to malaria control interventions.
Mission:
- Contribute to reducing malaria-related morbidity and mortality through promotional, preventive, curative, and research activities;
- Coordinate malaria control activities.
Goals: To contribute significantly to improving the population’s well-being by reducing the burden of malaria by 2025
Objectives: In line with the Global Technical Strategy for Malaria 2016–2030, the objectives of this strategic plan are:
- By the end of 2025, to reduce malaria-related mortality rates by at least 75% compared to 2015
- By the end of 2025, to reduce the incidence of malaria cases by at least 75% compared to 2015
- By the end of 2025, to strengthen and sustain the program’s management, coordination, and partnership capacities in order to achieve performance goals at all levels.
