Exploiting malarial invasion proteins for novel multi-stage malaria vaccines
Objectives
This proposal will study the role of a protein complex important for parasite invasion in both humans and mosquitoes and structurally and functionally characterize how antibodies can prevent this. Insights generated will then be used to develop and test a novel multi-stage malaria vaccine.
