OPerational feasibility of G6PD Testing in India for radical Cure (OPTIC)
Objectives
This project’s main aim is to assess the feasibility of implementing point-of-care G6PD testing in India at different levels of the health system in urban and rural settings.
Primary objective:
- To assess healthcare practitioners’ (HCPs’) proficiency in G6PD testing at different levels of the health system
Secondary objectives:
- Assess HCPs’ ability to interpret the G6PD test result.
- Assess HCPs’ ability to select appropriate notional treatment (on paper only) based on G6PD test results
- Explore HCP acceptability of, and experience with G6PD testing.
