Vaccine candidate discovery for malaria with multiplex assay and cohort study in endemic area

To identify new vaccine candidates for malaria, a research field was established at a primary school in a malaria-endic area in the Republic of Kenya. Through a six-month follow-up study of malaria infection targeting all pupils, a reliable immunological status for each was obtained. By using collected blood samples, including specific antibodies, the identification of new vaccine candidates will be made possible. This research will be continued until success is achieved.
