Optimizing malaria detection methods in a low transmission area in a rural Amazon

Objectives

The overall goal of this project is to contribute to the improvement in malaria detection system using geostatistical methods.

The proposal is to develop a mathematical model for the transmission of vivax malaria, in order to calculate the basic reproductive rate, a classic measure of malaria transmission.
