This poster presents the unique, living, open-access global database, MESA Track, offering an interactive view of the global malaria research landscape. Following the malERA research agenda, MESA connects stakeholders, including national malaria programs and policymakers, to share knowledge, catalyze research, and support the translation of evidence into policy and practice.

MESA Track captures both active and completed malaria research, including operational and implementation studies, specifically working to bridge the gap in under-tracked implementation science by documenting who is doing what, where, why and how. Projects are continuously curated, collecting metadata such as funding and outputs, and tagged by thematic areas. The database currently includes over 6,300 projects, representing more than US$10 billion in research worldwide, and provides strategic intelligence through “Deep Dives” that have informed WHO policy discussions and supported research prioritization.

Presented at the ASTMH Annual Meeting, held in Toronto, Canada 9-13 November 2024 (Poster number: LB-9214)
