Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance (CHAMPS) Network

Objectives

To create a long-term network of high-quality sites for the collection of primary data to track the preventable causes of childhood death globally.

Specific objectives are:

•  1: Identify and track definitive causes of stillbirth and child mortality using minimally invasive tissue sampling (MITS) and cutting-edge diagnostics.
•  2: Disseminate and communicate CHAMPS findings to key stakeholders to influence policy action and maternal and child health services.
• 3: Use the CHAMPS network to implement, investigate, and test data-driven interventions for reducing maternal and child mortality.
• 4: Enhance operational efficiency and Network excellence to accelerate program progress and impact.
