What do you have to do?
MESA is looking for correspondents to attend and report from the BioMalPar XIX: biology and pathology of the malaria parasite conference which will be held both virtually and in person at Heildelberg, Germany, from May 23 – 25, 2023.
With the help of some guidelines shared in advance, the MESA Correspondents summarize the contents of selected malaria talks in a short report. The reports are reviewed by recognized senior malaria editors and afterwards, they are published and disseminated through the MESA channels.

- 8th PAMCA Annual Conference and Exhibition
- Keystone Symposia 2022 “Malaria: Confronting Challenges from Drug Discovery to Treatment” (virtual)
- 8th International Conference on Plasmodium vivax Research (ICPvR 2022) (virtual)
What will you get?
- Free registration to BioMalPar XIX Conference (on-site or virtual depending on availability), which will take place on May 23 – 25.
- Certificate of participation in the MESA Correspondents program, highlighting the supervision at the hands of a senior malaria editor.
- Priority when offering new opportunities to collaborate with MESA.

How to apply?
The application to become a MESA Correspondent for the conference consists of:
- Curriculum vitae
- Motivation statement (100-word limit) indicating which areas of malaria you have knowledge of and why you want to be part of the program.
- Synopsis of one of these videos (200-word limit)
