USAID-Peru Request for Applications: Strengthening Systems for Health Security Activity
The United States Agency for International Development in Peru (USAID/Peru) is seeking applications for a Cooperative Agreement from qualified entities to implement the strengthening systems for health security activity (SSHS) program.
USAID intends to make one (1) award to the applicant(s) who best meets the objectives of this funding opportunity based on the merit review criteria. Eligibility for this award is not restricted.
Global Health Security (GHS) involves preventing, detecting, and responding to health emergencies across borders due to rapid disease spread. Peru faces challenges such as high COVID-19 death rates, dengue fever, and climate-change-exacerbated vector-borne diseases. Evaluations reveal inadequate GHS capacities, and adopting a One Health approach is crucial. This Activity aims to enhance Peru’s GHS through improved zoonotic response, workforce and surveillance.
Funding amount: $ 19,000,000
