Terms of Reference for consultants to WHO PQT/VCP in the disciplines of chemistry, entomology, toxicology and statistics

The WHO Prequalification Unit (PQT) and the WHO Vector Control Products (VCP) are particularly interested in expanding the pool of consultants with persons who have experience and linkages with national regulatory authorities and in diversifying regional representation of the pool of consultants.

This is an announcement for the posting of Terms of Reference for consultants to WHO PQT/VCP in the disciplines of chemistry, entomology, toxicology and statistics. In the posting of these ToRs, PQT/VCP the pool of consultants available to conduct quality, safety and efficacy scientific assessments of product dossiers will be expanded and will contribute to current and future guideline and policy development.

Purpose of consultancy – The consultant will be performing the following tasks:

• evaluate the scientific data submitted to support the WHO prequalification of vector control products,
• review new products, 
• propose/recommend changes to existing prequalified products, 
• perform science protocol reviews and product labelling,
• develop content for guideline development and/or provide comments on scientific information developed by the PQT/VCP,
• contribute to policy development.
