Strengthening Early Warning Surveillance in Africa
Africa CDC in partnership with WHO-AFRO and The Task Force for Global Health are organizing the webinar: Strengthening Early Warning Surveillance in Africa.
Date: 1st of October of 2025.
Time: 12:00h UTC
Related to Early Warning Surveillance (EWS), emerging efforts to increase integration of surveillance systems and foster collaboration across health and non-health sectors has resulted in the Collaborative Surveillance approach. As the ways of conducting surveillance continue to evolve, especially with ever-increasing technological advancements, our goal is to start to build a common understanding around Collaborative Surveillance.
In this 90-minute webinar, we will introduce the concept of Collaborative Surveillance to increase awareness and understanding of what it is, how it contributes to existing systems and tools, and what it might look like in country-specific contexts. WHO AFRO will introduce us to the concept and regional implementation and support, Zambia will share recent and ongoing implementation experience, and we will end with a Q&A Discussion.Â
