MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis Call for Applications: Pre-ASTMH Workshop on Malaria Molecular Surveillance
The MRC Centre for Global Infectious Disease Analysis at Imperial College London is offering a Pre-ASTMH workshop on Malaria Molecular Surveillance.
Eligibility:
- This workshop is designed for individuals currently conducting or planning Malaria Molecular Surveillance (MMS) studies.
- Extensive statistical experience is not required; the workshop will focus on the basics and their application.
Workshop Details:
The 1.5-day workshop will combine lectures, hands-on exercises, and group discussions, covering essential topics for MMS study design, including:
- Statistical power and sample size calculation
- Estimating and measuring changes in prevalence
- Cluster-based study design and intra-cluster correlation
- Guest lectures from experts in the field

Funding:
- Some funded spaces available which cover on-site accommodation for 2 nights (11th and 12th November) and all meals during the workshop period.
- Participants will need to arrange their own transportation to the venue

- Monday, 11th November 2024: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm (followed by social event)
- Tuesday, 12th November 2024: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
