PAMCA Call for Applications: Strengthening Vector Control Decision-Making in Africa (Workshop)

The Pan-African Mosquito Control Association (PAMCA) and our partners at GeneConvene are currently receiving applications for a professional development workshop on the theme “Strengthening Vector Control Decision-Making in Africa“. This three-day workshop will be held prior to this year’s 8th PAMCA Annual Conference & Exhibition between 23 – 25th September 2022 in Kigali, Rwanda. Upon completion of this workshop, participants will have gained valuable skills in decision-making strategies and common barriers to good decision-making. 

This workshop is open to researchers and professionals based in Africa who are interested in using data for decision making. Enrollment limit 25 people. The workshop is sponsored (travel, accommodation and meals).

Course description:

  • Improve decision-making skills
  • Learn decision-making strategies and common barriers to good decision-making
  • Gain skills and insights to enable non-modelers/ non-mathematicians to confidently approach and assess models intended to support decision-making
