Reaching Zero: virtual forum on malaria elimination by RBM and WHO

Ahead of World Malaria Day 2021, country leaders, frontline health workers and global partners will come together in a virtual forum to share experiences and reflections on efforts to reach the target of Zero Malaria. The event will be co-hosted by WHO and the RBM Partnership to End Malaria on 21 April from 12:00 to 13:30 GMT / 14h00-15h30 CEST.

Volunteer as MESA Correspondent to report from the MESA Webinars: Science for Malaria Impact

The Malaria Eradication Scientific Alliance (MESA) is seeking volunteers as MESA Correspondents to report from the online MESA Webinars: Science for Malaria Impact. The webinars will be held every first Wednesday of the month starting in May until December and will last 1h starting at 2:00 pm CEST. The MESA Correspondents are volunteers who write short synopses of selected presentations that are afterwards disseminated online, enabling people who could not attend the meeting to be also informed about the current advances. Application deadline July 2, 2021 for the MESA Webinar 3. Open deadline for the rest of the webinars.

MESA Webinar 1 – Listening to the Community: Malaria from a Health System and Equity Perspective

Focusing on social sciences, the first session of our monthly MESA webinars: Science for Malaria Impact will be held on May 5 at 2 PM CAT (8 AM EDT, 8 PM SGT). It will feature Professor Evelyn Korkor Ansah from the University of Health and Allied Sciences in Ghana, and Thuan Thi Nguyen, from the Institute of Tropical Medicine (ITM) - Antwerp, Belgium and Vietnam.
