Core Facility Fellowships are intended for the training of core facilities staff, including scientists and technicians, in specific techniques used in core research facilities that provide services to research institutions or universities. The goal of the EMBO Scientific Exchange Grants fund research exchanges of up to three months between laboratories in eligible countries. The grants facilitate collaborations with research groups with expertise, techniques, or infrastructure that is unavailable in the applicant’s laboratory. They cover travel and subsistence costs of the fellow. Applications accepted throughout the year.

The Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases (TDR), based at the World Health Organization (WHO) in Geneva, Switzerland, together with WHO’s Department of Control of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD) and Climate Change, Health and Environment Team at WHO’s Regional Office for Africa (AFRO), are pleased to announce this joint call for research proposal applications from consortiums of collaborating institutions in Africa to address implementation research priorities for One Health for vector-borne diseases (VBDs) in the context of climate change.
