SSCP DTP Call for Applications: PhD studentships

The Science and Solutions for a Changing Planet DTP (SSCP DTP) of the Imperial College London calls for PhD applicants. The SSCP DTP will award 16 fully funded NERC studentships in 2023-24.  Applicants can choose from projects which have been proposed by various Imperial academics and researchers from our partner institutions. WHO Consultation on Preferred Product Characteristics: vector control products targeting outdoor malaria transmission

The World Health Organization (WHO)  Global Malaria Programme (GMP) is developing a series of preferred product characteristics (PPCs) to encourage further innovation in malaria prevention and control. The present draft PPC posted for public consultation describes the preferred characteristics of vector control products developed with the aim of controlling outdoor malaria transmission. Consultation deadline January 13, 2023.

Preventive Therapies for Malaria: a special edition of the IFAKARA Masterclasses featuring global experts and Tanzania NMCP

Fredros Okumu from the Ifakara Health Institute (IHI) and Nana Aba Williams from the MESA Alliance at ISGlobal (MESA) are hosting the 39th and 40th Editions of the Masterclass in Preventive therapies for malaria. This special edition of the Masterclasses will feature global experts, including those from the Tanzania National Malaria Control Program (NMCP) on December 15, 2022.

Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Partnership to End Malaria, through Country Regional Support Partners Committee and in collaboration with partners is organising two back to back orientation meetings on the Global Fund New Funding Model 4 Application for Malaria Grants for 2023-2025 cycle. The event will take place virtually and in person in Kenya from the 12-17 December, 2022.
