NHMRC Call for Applications: Genomics Health Futures Mission Grant Opportunity 2022
The Australian National Health and Medicine Research Council (NHMRC) is calling for applications for the GHF Mission – 2022 Genomics Health Futures Mission Grant Opportunity. The objective of this grant opportunity is to provide grants of financial assistance to support medical research and medical innovation projects.
Streams:
- Stream 1 (Targeted Call for Research): identify and diagnose novel – primarily monogenic or oligogenic – rare diseases and increase the genomic diagnostic rate towards 70% by 2025.
- Stream 2 (Targeted Call for Research): conduct research to develop pharmacogenomic approaches to enhance medication efficacy and reduce harm by preventing adverse side effects.
- Stream 3 (Targeted Call for Research): conduct research to identify novel methods for progressing the application of polygenic scores in Australian health care.
- Stream 4 (Targeted Call for Research): conduct education and/or implementation research on strategies for improving clinical capacity to apply genomics in the primary health care sector.
- Stream 5 (Targeted Call for Research): conduct implementation research addressing inequalities of access and increasing the quality of clinical genetics services for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
Eligibility:
- Applications will only be accepted from approved MRFF Eligible Organisations. A list of approved MRFF Eligible Organisations is available from the GrantConnect GO Documents and from the MRFF Eligible Organisations List on the NHMRC website.
- Applications must satisfy all the requirements set out in the MRFF – GHF Mission – 2022 Genomics Health Futures Mission Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
- A person must not be named as a Chief Investigator (CI) on more than one application submitted to a Stream of this grant opportunity. If a Chief Investigator is named on more than one application submitted to a Stream, both applications will be considered ineligible.
Funding details:
- From $0.00 to $3,000,000.00 for a maximum duration of 3 or 4 years depending on the stream.
