MMV: Request for information for Impact measurement
Medicines for Malaria Venture (MMV) is a not-for-profit public-private partnership that was established as a foundation in Switzerland in 1999. Its mission is to reduce the burden of malaria in disease-endemic countries by discovering, developing and delivering new, effective and affordable antimalarial drugs.
MMV is issuing a request for information (RFI) from potential partners on innovative approaches that will complement and strengthen the way MMV measures the impact of medicines that they have co-developed and launched with partners. Building on the landscaping initiated by MMV on impact measurement methodology and how other organizations measure their impact, potential partners are expected to identify and recommend transparent methodologies and a set of direct and indirect indicators that would be suitable to measure MMV’s impact.
Ultimately, the outcome of this project will help demonstrate to our partners and donors the impact our actions are making in the combat against malaria.
Topics for response:
- Description of any experience working with NGOs / not for profit organizations.
- Familiarity with LMIC’s health care system.
- Detailed description of past experiences in setting up methodologies to measure impact, including the rational for the selected methodologies.
- A sample action plan detailing the steps envisaged to determined MMV’s new set of indicators as well as the tools to collect and analyze the information that will inform these indicators. Note that we are not expecting to have a list of indicators and tools yet as this will be the outcome of the project, but we would like to have a short description of the steps required to reach the outcome and expected timing.
- Ballpark cost for the project. MMV welcomes a tier pricing approach.
