Mahidol University Call for Applications: Sylvia Meek Scholarship in Medical Entomology 2026
The Faculty of Tropical Medicine of the University of Mahidol is calling for applications for its Sylvia Meek Scholarship in Medical Entomology 2026. The scholarship will be to course the Master of Science Program in Tropical Medicine student year 2026.
Eligibility:
- Nationals from Asia Pacific countries can apply.
- Applicants need to have successfully completed an Honours degree or equivalent in Entomology, Public Health, Biology, or a related discipline
- Applicants should have good knowledge of English (a minimum of IELTS score of 6 or TOEFL IBT score of 69)
- Applicants should demonstrate an interest in, and commitment to, entomology and the control of vector borne diseases
Financial aspects:
The Dr Sylvia Meek Scholarship for Medical Entomology will cover all tuition fees, a research allowance.
- THB 240,000/year for living costs such as accommodation and board (for two years only)
- An allowance for travel to Thailand and return home after completion of the programme
- Visa and health insurance for the duration of the MSc programme (two-and-a-half-year period), by which time the students should finish their degree.
