IVCC Call for Experts in Toxicology and Formulation
IVCC’s External Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC) is looking for experts in toxicology and formulation to support the assessment of vector control products.
Requirements:
Toxicology requirements:
- A BSc in chemical or life science, plus either a MSc or PhD in toxicology, or postgraduate experience in toxicology
- At least five years of toxicology experience in the agrochemical or related sectors
- Strong knowledge of toxicology principles and the scientific basis for toxicity testing
- Experience reviewing and interpreting laboratory and field toxicology studies for product registration and safety monitoring
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for chemicals, agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals or animal health products
Formulation requirements:
- Optimising insecticide efficacy and longevity, especially with ITNs and incorporated and coated formulations
- Minimising environmental impact
- Exploring new active ingredients with unique properties and formulation requirements/innovations
- Ensuring product stability and quality
- An understanding of the challenges of meeting the cost of goods targets
- Ensuring product manufacturability.
