ICGEB Call for Applications: ICGEB CRP Research Grants- Round 2026

International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) calls for application for its 2026 CRP Research Grants, designed for researchers ready to move beyond isolated projects and into structured, collaborative research with regional impact.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁:

Addressing scientific challenges rooted in your country or region

  • Building long-term research capacity
  • Training the next generation of scientists
  • Strengthening international research partnerships

Eligibility:

  • Researchers based in ICGEB Member States
  • Projects must include international collaborators
  • A dedicated track exists for early-career researchers returning from abroad

Funding details:

  • Up to €25,000 per year
  • Duration: up to 3 years
  • Covers consumables, small equipment, travel, and training
  • Does not cover salaries or major institutional overheads
