ICGEB-AICAD Call for Applications: Posdoctoral Fellowships
The African Institute for Capacity Development (AICAD) and the International Centre for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (ICGEB) offer post-doctoral scientists from Africa a training period of 6 months at ICGEB laboratories in Italy, India or South Africa, to perform research work on biotechnology and related fields, including Health (Infectious Diseases and Non-Communicable Diseases), Sustainable Agriculture, Industrial Biotechnology and Renewable Energy.
The Fellowship includes:
- Stipend, health insurance and travel.
- Access to the latest techniques and methodologies in the field.
- Opportunities for mentoring and complementary skills.
- Immersion in a top class international scientific environment.
Eligibility:
- Candidates from the following ICGEB Member States are eligible to apply: Kenya, United Republic of Tanzania. Exceptionally, candidates from Uganda may apply to this opportunity.Â
- Degree requirements: applicants should hold a recent PhD in Life Sciences or have at least 3 years research experience.
- Preference is given to candidates below the age of 35.
