Global Youth Coalition Call for Proposals: Local Actions 2023

The Global Youth Coalition invites you to generate impact in your local community and support realizing the demands and commitments of the Global Youth Statement with your peers at the grassroots level by applying to the Local Actions call-to-applications 2023.

We encourage you to identify the most pressing road safety challenge in your city and propose a solution that effectively responds to it within one of the following priority areas: community mobilization and awareness, peer-to-peer engagement, advocacy, and infrastructure change.

Application Criteria:

  1. Official member of the Global Youth Coalition for Road Safety. If you are not a member, register here.
  2. Carry out at least two modules of the self-paced learning platform: the YOURS Academy. It will help you understand the road safety reality and align your project with the Global Plan.
  3. Focused on, at least, one project category of the aboved mentioned (if more, better): community development, advocacy & awareness, peer-to-peer engagement and/or infrastructure change (IMPORTANT: Projects focused on education 1 only will not be funded).
  4. Clear response to the Global Youth Statement for Road Safety and the Global Plan of the Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030.
  5. Linkage with SDGs that are connected to road safety and sustainable mobility, such as climate action, health and well-being, sustainable cities and communities, gender equality, inequalities and/or quality education.
  6. Each applicant is only allowed to submit one project proposal.
  7. Projects must be submitted in English.

We will select the most innovative proposals and award the winners with a seed fund of 5,000 euros and mentorship and will support them in developing a detailed project plan.
