Engagement survey – Informing the design and initial priorities of an Alliance for Malaria Vaccine Development

A new global alliance for next-generation malaria vaccines is taking shape and this short survey, less than 5 minutes to complete, will help inform its design. Your responses to this survey will help map the broader partner landscape and set up initial structures.

The survey can be accessed here.

In 2024 and 2025, two consultative meetings held before ASTMH brought together key stakeholders working on next-generation malaria vaccines. Across these discussions a strong consensus emerged: the field needs a coordinated structure to share science, address persistent bottlenecks, and align efforts to accelerate the development of effective, accessible, and affordable malaria vaccines for all endemic regions.

Thanks to the support of Coefficient Giving, the envisioned coordinated structure is expected to be established in 2026. To support the design and establishment of this independent, multi-stakeholder alliance, Bridges to Development, has been engaged to develop a right-sized governance structure, initiate technical working groups, create communication tools, a website, and plan a scientific malaria vaccine conference, most likely in early 2027.

Response submission extended deadline, 30th April 2026.
