- Professor Fidock is the CS Hamish Young Professor of Microbiology & Immunology and of Medical Sciences (in Medicine) at the Columbia University Medical Centre. He is also the founding Director of the Columbia University Centre for Malaria Therapeutics and Antimicrobial Resistance and the Director of the NIH-funded Columbia University Graduate Training Program in Microbiology and Immunology. His research program focuses primarily on the genetic and molecular basis of antimalarial drug resistance in Plasmodium falciparum and research into antimalarials in development.
