DAAD Scholarship 2026 in Germany: Fully Funded Postgraduate Opportunities for International Students
The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is welcoming applications for its prestigious scholarship program designed to support Master’s and Ph.D. students from developing and newly industrialized countries. The program is funded by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
The DAAD Scholarship 2026 covers a wide range of academic disciplines and development-focused programs. Below are the Institutions on Public Health and Social Sciences:
Public Health & Social Sciences:
- Charité Berlin & FU Berlin: MSc in International Health
- University of Freiburg: Global Urban Health
- TU Dresden: Vocational Education & Personnel Capacity Building
This fully funded scholarship by the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), enables students with at least two years of professional experience to pursue a postgraduate degree at one of Germany’s state-recognized universities. In exceptional cases, it may also fund doctoral studies, helping international scholars build advanced skills and academic credentials in Germany.
Eligibility criteria:
- Be a resident of a developing or newly industrialized country
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree (at least four years) in a relevant field
- Have a minimum of two years of professional work experience
- Have obtained their last academic degree within the past six years
- Meet the language requirements for the program (TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent)
Financial Support provided:
The DAAD Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded program and covers the following:
- Monthly stipend: €934 (Master’s) or €1,200 (Ph.D.)
- Full tuition fee waiver
- Travel allowance to and from Germany
- Health, accident, and personal liability insurance
- Monthly rent subsidy (if applicable)
- Family allowance (in some cases)
