APMENxChange webinar – “Malaria: What happens Post-Elimination? Prevention of Re-establishment”
The Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN) is happy to invite you to their 36th APMENxChange webinar on “Malaria: What happens Post-Elimination? Prevention of Re-establishment“.
The next few years will see several Asian countries reach malaria elimination, cessation of local transmission. This follows many centuries of suffering and multiple decades of onerous efforts to reduce the morbidity and mortality that characterizes this disease. However, country responsibility does not end when WHO certifies malaria-free status, because the threat of re-invasion looms constant, with serious consequences if neglected. And so it is appropriate that we learn as much as we can of what other countries are doing to keep malaria at bay, and WHO recommends to maintain elimination status. This webinar will explore several aspects of critical actions and practices, from international experts in their fields.
Date: Tuesday, April 4, 2023.
Time: 1:00 pm Singapore Time (GMT + 8).
