APMEN Online Training on Designing Entomological Data Systems for Malaria Control
The Asia Pacific Malaria Elimination Network (APMEN) is pleased to invite you to an upcoming online training on Designing Entomological Data Systems for Malaria Control.
Date: 9-10 June 2026
Time: from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM (Singapore Time)
Effective malaria control relies on strong entomological surveillance and the systematic use of vector data for decision-making. This course provides a practical introduction to designing entomological data systems, guiding participants through defining key programme challenges, identifying data needs, and structuring appropriate data systems. It also covers approaches to interpreting entomological data and translating it into actionable insights for decision-making, with a focus on supporting targeted interventions and strengthening malaria control efforts.
This two-day online training will be led by Prof. Neil Lobo (University of Notre Dame / UCSF Malaria Elimination Initiative), with moderation by Prof. Leo Braack (APMEN Vector Control Working Group / Malaria Consortium).
