ALMA Call for Applications: Guinea Malaria Youth Corps
The African Leaders Malaria Alliance (ALMA) is calling for applications for the Guinea Malaria Youth Corps.
The establishment of the Malaria Youth Corps creates a broader social movement to fight malaria and contribute to improved maternal and child health, and access to universal healthcare.
The Malaria Youth Corps will contribute to the achievement of the following objectives:
- Advocate for action to end malaria in Africa through increased action, advocacy, resource mobilisation and promoting accountability for malaria and the broader health and development agenda.
- Â Engage at all levels to galvanise strong and forward-looking leadership and governance among all sectors.
- Promote best practices of youth engagement in the fight against malaria.
- Mainstream malaria into the existing youth structures.
- Share innovative and creative solutions to end malaria in Africa.
- Be committed to volunteer for two years as a Malaria Youth Champion.
- Participate in the processes towards the establishment of youth corps.
Eligibility:
- Aged between 15-35 years.
- Be a Guinean national.
- Experience in working with regional and country stakeholders e.g working in health , development or other related areas.
- Capacity to liaise with youth networks and passionate about fining solutions to health issues e.g basic knowledge of malaria.
- Excellent communications skills in English, French and other local languages such as Susu, Pular and Maninka.
- Posses leadership skills and be a team player who can work with various teams and partners.
