70th ASTMH Virtual Annual Meeting 2021
The 70th American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) Annual Meeting, from November 17 – 21, 2021, is planned as an in-person meeting with online aspects.
The ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic and surge of its variants has created a situation beyond the Society’s control that has made it impractical and impossible for ASTMH to hold the meeting in person. It is therefore with regret that our Society is forced to cancel the in-person portion of the 2021.
ASTMH knows that everybody is looking forward to gathering together again in person, but the ongoing pandemic has proven to be too much and we will have to wait until 2022 in Seattle to see each other. Nonetheless, as a community of scientists accustomed to many obstacles, we will embrace this opportunity to engage our global friends and colleagues virtually. The ASTMH team is working diligently to make the virtual format a rewarding and interactive experience so we can enhance our important work and continue to learn from and with each other.
The ASTMH Annual Meeting will be held at the Gaylord National Resort and Convention Center in National Harbor, Maryland, adjacent to Washington, DC.

- Abstract Submission deadline – April 24, 2021
- Early Rate deadline – October 19, 2021
- Late Rate deadline – from October 20, 2021
