2nd Annual Ai in Health Africa Conference

In partnership with the Infectious Diseases Institute (IDI), Nepal Applied Mathematics and Informatics Institute for research (NAAMII) and Makerere University , the Makere AI Health Lab is hosting the 2nd Annual AI in Health Africa Conference.

Date: 6-7 November 2025

Location: Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.

Building on the success of the inaugural event, this year’s convening will deepen discussions on AI-driven healthcare solutions tailored to Africa and the Global South.

A special focus will be placed on South-to-South collaboration empowering resource-limited settings to become net producers of knowledge, tools, and technologies in Health AI. These discussions will also unpack how AI can be integrated into existing digital health platforms, the impact of Generative AI, and opportunities for contextualizing AI to Africa’s healthcare realities.
