Technology identification to optimize malaria vector control

Objectives

To identify gaps, limitations and constraints that impede present surveillance programs used by the National Malaria Control Programs from achieving the implementation of best practices.

Specific objectives:

  1. To define the present status of malaria vector surveillance programmes in terms of activities undertaken as well as limitations preventing full implementation.
  2. To assess the sensitivity and specificity of surveillance techniques (as used in endemic countries).
  3. To undertake a landscape analyses of emerging technologies that align with the target product profile / standard operating procedure (TPP/SOP) requirements of vector data collection and management.
