Target Malaria – Phase II
Objectives
To develop a new tool for malaria control and elimination in sub-Saharan Africa.
- Complete pre-development studies, trial design, and risk assessment for dossier submission for importation and release of gene drive “product 1”;
- Carry out field releases of self-limiting male bias line Ag (PMB) as step towards gene drive in regulatory and social acceptance;
- Conduct stakeholder engagement and communications activities for gene drive;
- Refine plans for transitioning to country partnership in delivering gene drive technology.
