Develop Innovative and Safe Vector Control Tools to Prevent Malaria and NTDs Transmission

Objectives

The Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) is core funding IVCC to support the development of a complete toolbox of vector control product to prevent malaria transmission. The work is articulated around three key objectives:

• Objective 1: Develop products to address insecticide resistance
  • Novel active ingredients development
  • Repurposing existing chemistry for vector control
• Objective 2: Develop ‘Mind the Gap’ tools needed for malaria eradication
  • Outdoor transmission prevention
• Objective 3: Develop solutions to expand and optimise vector control coverage
  • Overcoming technical barriers
