Construction of optimal diagnosis and treatment system for tropical diseases and parasitic diseases in Japan
Objectives
The objectives of this project are:
- Examination of efficacy and safety of domestic unapproved drugs and non-applicable drugs for tropical diseases and parasitosis (Artemeter lumefantrin combination tablets, Kinine injection, Triclabendazole tablets, Primakin tablets, Albendazole),
- Establishment of an integrated diagnostic system for tropical diseases and parasites in Japan (evaluation of rapid malaria diagnostic kit, support for diagnosis of parasites based on antibody test, new PCR method for comprehensive detection and identification of protozoa and parasites (Development), and
- Understanding the outbreak trends of tropical diseases and parasites inside and outside (parasitic serophyllology, collection and analysis of parasitic disease epidemiological data from external databases)
