Comprehensive analysis of intracellular organelle dense granule protein of Plasmodium malaria

Objectives

*Original title and abstract were machine translated from Japanese.

The purpose of this study is to classify the previously known dense granule (DG) proteins into each subtype and to clarify the overall picture of the new Plasmodium protozoan proteins existing in each subtype.

Rationale and Abstract

Plasmodium, which invades erythrocytes, carries various proteins in unique organelles, enabling complex erythrocyte parasitism. Among them, dense granule (DG) has been clarified by the research results of the representatives so far that it contains proteins essential for erythrocyte invasion and subsequent maintenance of parasitism. In addition, preliminary experiments have found that there are at least three subtypes of DG.
