
Zawadi Mboma
Dr. Zawadi Mageni Mboma is a research and grant management expert with 13+ years of experience in Tanzania. She holds a PhD degree in Infectious and Tropical Diseases from the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (U.K), a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Geography and Earth Science and a Certificate in Fundraising and Development from the University of California, San Diego (U.S.A).
She currently serves as the Business Development and Partnerships Specialist, and Senior Research Scientist at the Ifakara Health Institute. Zawadi joined the MESA Correspondents Program in 2023 as a Senior Editor. She is also an alumna of the Scient of Eradication (SoE) Malaria program at Harvard University (2022). She is interested in the engagement of women, their representation and sustainability in leadership positions. Zawadi believes gender diversity is crucial to ensure inclusivity to achieve equity in global health.
