Dr. Manju Rahi is a leading public health researcher with over 25 years of experience in malaria research, control, and elimination. She currently serves as Director and Scientist G at the ICMR–National Institute for Vector Control Research under the Indian Council of Medical Research, Government of India, and has previously held Director-in-charge roles at ICMR–National Institute of Malaria Research and ICMR–Regional Medical Research Centre, Port Blair.

Her work has significantly contributed to advancing malaria elimination efforts in India through research on transmission dynamics, vector behaviour, insecticide resistance, and surveillance strategies. She has led and collaborated on large, multicentric studies that generate evidence to inform national malaria control programmes and policy decisions. Her contributions extend to strengthening diagnostic approaches, vector control strategies, and engagement with private healthcare sectors in malaria management.

Dr. Rahi has played an active role in national and international technical advisory groups, including those aligned with WHO, contributing to malaria policy and programme guidance. She has authored over 170 peer-reviewed publications and continues to support collaborative research platforms that strengthen malaria research capacity and implementation.
Through her leadership and research, she remains committed to advancing evidence-based strategies for malaria elimination.
