Katelyn Stanhope

Correspondent

Katelyn Stanhope is a PhD candidate in malaria genomics at the Burnet Institute and Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. Her research focuses on Plasmodium falciparum genetic diversity and antigen serotypes to inform malaria vaccine development.
She uses genomic, bioinformatic and immunological approaches to investigate parasite population structure, transmission patterns and vaccine-relevant antigens. Katelyn was a MESA Correspondent for the Molecular Approaches to Malaria conference in Australia in 2024 and is looking forward to supporting the program in the future.

I am very gracious for the opportunity to attend the Molecular Approaches to Malaria 2024 conference as a MESA Correspondent. I am looking forward to improving my writing skills as well as connecting and collaborating with other malaria researchers from across the globe.
