Carlos works at the intersection of molecular epidemiology, data science, and innovation, focusing on tropical infectious diseases and advancing R&D in molecular diagnostics and antimicrobial bioprospecting. He holds a Master’s degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia and serves as faculty researcher and lab head at Universidad Señor de Sipán, as well as Associate Researcher at the Alexander von Humboldt Institute of Tropical Medicine. Beyond the laboratory, Carlos bridges science and culture through graphic design, photography, and scientific communication.
