The U.S. Department of State Call for Applications: Advancing Global Health (APS)
The U.S. Department of State, through the Bureau of Global Health Security and Diplomacy (GHSD), has launched a major funding opportunity under the Advancing Global Health (AGH) Program to support initiatives that strengthen health systems, save lives, and promote country self-reliance.
Eligibility:
Eligible applicants include:
• U.S. and international nonprofit organizations
• Universities and higher education institutions
• Private sector companies
• Faith-based organizations
• Public international organizations and government institutions
Funding details:
• Funding Type: Grant or Cooperative Agreement
• Project Duration: Up to 5 years
• Estimated Awards: Up to 100
• Grant Size: $500,000 – $250 million per project
• Total Estimated Funding: Up to $4.5 billion (subject to availability)
Application Process:
Applications follow a two-phase process:
- Phase 1 – Statement of Interest (SOI):
Applicants submit a concept note (maximum 5 pages / 2,500 words) outlining the problem, proposed solution, expected outcomes, and partners. - Phase 2 – Full Proposal:
Selected applicants will be invited to submit a full application after the SOI review.
