VCWG Art Competition 2026, “The Impact of Vector Control on Malaria in Africa: An Art Competition”

The RBM VCWG invites you to apply to its 2026 VCWG Art Competition: “The Impact of Vector Control on Malaria in Africa- An Art Competition”.

This annual competition aims to spark creativity and dialogue about how vector control can continue to save lives in an era of limited resources and evolving challenges.

Competition Theme

Artists are invited to explore the crossroads where science, sustainability, and human resilience meet. Suggested angles include:

  • The burden of malaria today: How do resource limitations affect communities still battling malaria?
  • Innovation under constraint: How can new tools, strategies, and partnerships drive impact despite financial and operational challenges?
  • Human stories of adaptation: Show how individuals and communities navigate the changing landscape of malaria control.
  • The future of vector control: What does success look like in a world of competing priorities and limited funding?

Prizes:

The top 3 artworks will receive prizes and be showcased at the VCWG workshop. Prizes are $150 for first place, $100 for second place and $50 for third place.
