The Roll Back Malaria Vector Control Wroking Group (VCWG)  is pleased to invite you to a forthcoming webinar on Novel Tools for Outdoor Malaria Control, featuring distinguished experts in malaria research and vector control.

The discussion will address the significant role of outdoor malaria transmission in sustaining the global malaria burden, highlighting its implications for elimination strategies. Presenters will introduce and examine two innovative tools specifically developed to target malaria transmission occurring outside traditional indoor settings. This session will provide valuable insights into emerging approaches that aim to strengthen and complement existing malaria control interventions.

The session will feature three presentations by:

• Ellie Sherrard-Smith (LSTM) – disease burden attributed to outdoor and early bites;
• Franck Langevin (MAÏA Africa https://www.maia-africa.com/en/) –a novel topical repellent tool;
• Neil Lobo (University of Notre Dame) –the use of barrier screens for outdoor malaria control.
