This course provides an introduction to the basics of rapid diagnostic tests (RDTs) for the detection of malaria. 

At the end of this course, you will: 

1. know the advantages and disadvantages of RDTs vs microscopy for the detection of malaria
2. understand the principals behind an antigen detection RDT for malaria 
3. be able to perform an RDT for the detection of malaria
4. be able to interpret an antigen detection RDT for malaria
5. know the pitfalls of antigen detection RDTs for malaria
6. be able to translate the concepts learned to RDTs for other diseases
