Africa CDC, WHO-AFRO and The Task Force for Global Health are co-organizing a 90-minute webinar on Climate-informed Early Warning Surveillance: Integrating climate and disease information for decision intelligence. This session explores how integrating climate signals with health data can drive faster, more informed outbreak responses.
Date: 11th of June
Time: 12:00hrs UCT /1PM WAT / 3:00PM EAT / 8:00EST /
Climate-informed Early Warning Surveillance (CI EWS) integrates routine public health data with a comprehensive range of climate signals – including daily weather, seasonal forecasts, trend analyses, and extreme event alerts- to trigger timely, accurate, and actionable public health responses that combat the growing pressure of climate change on health systems.
In this 90-minute webinar, it will be discussed how to integrate climate information products and services into existing disease surveillance systems, build better systems, and move from data to informed decision-making. Countries will share recent implementation experience with CI EWS, and we will end with a Q&A Discussion.
