ASTMH Awards for ACMCIP Advanced Training and ACMCIP Exchange Fellowship
The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) calls for Application for the American Committee of the Molecular Cellular and Immunoparasitology (ACMCIP) Award for Advance Training and the ACMCIP Exchange Fellowship.
- ACMCIP Award for Advanced Training:
This award aims to encourage trainees to explore new parasitological systems, gain hands-on skills, obtain advanced knowledge in cutting-edge research topics and technologies and make new collaborative connections.
Eligibility
- Open to any researcher who is a trainee (a student – MS, MD, DPharm or PhD or postdoctoral fellow within four years of graduation from their final degree).

Funding:
Up to $1,000 will be provided to offset the recipient’s registration, travel and accommodation expenses.

- ACMCIP Exchange Fellowship:
This award is aimed at all levels of trainees, including junior independent researchers seeking to gain new or additional research skills by visiting laboratories that employ cutting-edge methods. The trainee must be or become an ASTMH and ACMCIP member.
Eligibility:
- Open to any researcher who is a trainee (a student – MS, MD, DPharm, PhD, post-doctoral fellow or research professor or junior faculty within six years of graduation from their final degree).
- Must be a member of ASTMH and ACMCIP. Not a member? Join today.
Funding:
This award, up to $500 for domestic travel and up to $2,000 for international travel, will aid trainees in augmenting their MCIP studies by supporting travel to or from an ACMCIP member’s laboratory.
