But for all the advances in biology and our understanding of emerging infectious diseases, pandemics continue to take us by surprise. In this talk, Mark Honigsbaum, DPhil, a noted infectious diseases historian and journalist, will revisit three pandemics of the 20th and 21st centuries and ask how medical history can help us prepare for the next one?
