Call for ASTMH Distinguished International Fellow
The American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH) is calling for applications for ASTMH Distinguished International Fellow.
The ASTMH Distinguished International Fellow designation formally recognizes individuals who have made eminent contributions to a particular aspect of tropical medicine and global health. Nominees are expected to be leaders in their field, making seminal contributions over their career, typically over decades, as evidenced by research and publications, clinical acumen, public health policy, and/or education. Their contributions will have fundamentally changed understanding of disease or health outcomes or developed capacity to do so.
Eligibility:
- Nominations are limited to non-U.S. citizens. Individuals who maintain dual or multiple citizenship which includes U.S. are not eligible and self-nomination is not allowed.
- Nominations of candidates from low- and middle-income countries are encouraged.
- The nominator must be an ASTMH member but membership or previous engagement with the Society is not required of nominees.
